What will law enforcement be like (with regard to funding and manpower) when the war on drugs is ended?
Excellent question sir. It reminds me of being in a coffee shop a few years ago (prior to the smoking ban) and listening to two gentlemen lamenting how the current generation of hippies and dopers couldn't seem to get through the day without their "damn dope" all while they continue to puff their cigarettes and order more coffee. Im sure they continued their argument into the evening with their beer and maybe a highball. I object to the nanny state in any fashion, not just the ones I disagree with. If you steal or hurt someone else, or deny them their right to peaceful life you should be punished SEVERELY and SWIFTLY, not put on super secret probation a year after the offense. I would much rather my tax dollars be spent doing that than being my nanny.
