I have known and worked Anthony for maybe 10 yrs. I am so happy he been cleared. I am so sorry he had to endure this. He is not a liar or a cheat. I am proud to stand with him.
It’d be nice to hear more about the D.A.’s and defenses’ arguments.
I have grown up with Anthony all my life. He is one of the nicest guys around. he would do anything for anyone for someone to accuse him of something so aweful has just got to be out of there mind. I’m go glad he was found NOT GUILTY!!!.
wow sooo many ppl think just because he was found “not guilty” actually means hes not guilty…. i know from having gone through similar circumstances with my daughter that it is not as simple as it should be for a victim to get a guilty verdict… and may the victim in this case keep her head up and be thankful that she has a supportive parent who is standing by her… and just because someone may appear to be a nice man doesnt mean he doesnt do things like this….you only know what ppl want you to know… you only see what they want you too… this goes for almost everyone
Too bad none of his ex girlfriends had a chance to take the stand as character witnesses. I know a few of them personally and they have a different opinion of him than these supporters of his. Also I seem to remember a Ledger Dispatch story some years back, about an Anthony Garibaldi who went to prison for stealing a car, and hiding it in someone’s barn. If it’s the same guy, that’s hardly someone I would say has good morals and values, and more like someone who is a liar and a cheat. Very different than the comments I read above. If I’m wrong about it being the same person, than I apologize, and shame on me… If I’m right than shame on you two posters above for not being honest enough about the real Anthony Garibaldi!
Sure Anthony has made mistakes in his life, he’s not perfect. I grew up with him, and have never seen him do anything to cause harm to anyone. I know some of his ex girlfriends as well, they are far from being perfect too. Anthony is a good guy, and unless you were actually there you don’t know what happened. Our legal system found him to be innocent so any comments here are just people wasting their breath, including mine. So lets all find something better to do with our time and move on with our lives.
Everyone has made mistakes. Myself included. However some of these people posting here are trying to say he’s a saint. Handing him a free pass. Saying he has good morals, and values. One even said he is not a liar or a cheat. Not exactly accurate. Since when does someone being far from perfect entitle someone to do what he is accused of? Sounds to me like these people would have backed their statements even if he was found guilty. I don’t know the girl from this story, but no matter her faults, it sounds like his cheer squad seems to think that makes it ok for him to have done what she said he did. Remember O.J. Simpson was found not guilty too. I wonder if anybody here was shocked by that verdict.
casey anthony had a not guilty….but how many of us think that was not the right verdict….
All of you who put forth the mistaken idea Anthony G. is an upstanding citizen need only peruse the Superior Court’s case logs to find his name listed many times. Our jury system is the best in the world yet it still has flaws. To you of the jury who found him “not guilty”, you will be an accessory to every future molestation he commits.
I couldn’t agree more Buzzard1! The jury’s in this county don’t convict people on sex crimes. This place is a predators dream land! God help anyone who would try to harm my children. I would definitely not leave it in the hands of an Amador County jury.
ditto.
And just to be clear – not ditto on anything about Anthony because I don’t have a comment about him. I just know I would NEVER leave it to the justice system if something happened to my children.
and his dna got in her underwear how? come on…really? shame on you!
Well, there was a 1 in 93 trillion chance that it was someone else’s DNA. So with reasonable doubt like that, who could blame the jury for finding him not guilty?
