The Amador Knights of Columbus Council 1849 present The Arc of Amador and Calaveras with a check for $1,968.56. The Knights once again raised this money via their annual Tootsie Roll Drive. Pictured, from left, are Tootsie Roll Drive Chair Joe Matthews; Arc Executive Director Mike Sweeney; Knight Treasurer Richard Smith; Knight Deputy Grand Night Dan Placido; and Knight Council member and Arc employee Charles Esola. Council 1849 has been raising funds for The Arc for the past 10 years. Sweeney said that support this year is more important than ever due to reduced funding from the state.
