Pine Grove Youth Conservation Camp hosted a guest-chef dinner last month. Bridgett and Betty Jackson, the mother and grandmother of firefighter Brandon Harrell, prepared the dinner for about 80 wards, staff and CAL FIRE personnel. The dinner consisted of Cajun-style gumbo, rice, salad bar and dessert. Just as dinner was being served, Pine Grove Crew 4 returned from a fire assignment, just in time to enjoy the meal. Anyone interested in participating in a guest-chef dinner can call 296-7581.
