Banished and Embraced: The Chinese in Fiddletown and the Mother Lode - the second book published by historian Elaine Zorbas - tells the story of this forgotten race of pioneers and the contributions they made to local history. On Saturday, Aug. 29 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the historic Schoolhouse in Fiddletown, the Fiddletown Preservation Society welcomes the public to attend the release party and book signing celebrating this fascinating insight into Amador County history.
