Amador County Master Gardener Dennis Miller will be the featured speaker when the Sierra Madre Garden Club meets at 1:30pm at the Amador Senior Center, 229 New York Ranch Road in Jackson. Dennis will be discussing “Shade Gardening in the Foothills.” With a background in vocational agriculture, Dennis was a perfect match for becoming a Master Gardener after moving to the foothills in 1999. Since 2002 he has taught classes in raised bed gardening; rose pruning; water irrigation; and fruit tree grafting, pruning, and fruit tree culture.
