A&A Shooters end season — head to State

The Martinez Gun Club was primed for the California Youth Shooting Sports Association trap shoot last Saturday, as 257 youth shooters descended upon the club’s eight trap fields. With perfect weather conditions and most of the top youth gun-club teams competing, the shoot scores were high and shoot-offs were inevitable.

In the Varsity category, there was one perfect 100, coming from Joshua Lopes, of Los Banos, but right behind him was a string of six 99’s, including Amador County’s A&A Shooters’ Bobby Boitano. Boitano, in his seventh and last year as an A&A Shooter, broke a perfect 50 in the morning, followed up by a 24 and 25...
