Justin Mendoza is 23 years old. Born and raised in Jackson, he attended Argonaut high school and received his AA at Columbia College, in Sonora. Growing up, Justin played competitive basketball, raced competitive motocross and finally found his passion in triathlon. School was definitely not his passion. As soon as he finished, he decided to make the leap and go after the professional world of triathlon.

In October, 2013, Mendoza competed in his first Olympic-distance triathlon, which included a .94-mile swim, 24-mile bike ride...

Playoffs started last Sunday in the Amador County Recreation Agency Men’s Basketball League. The top four teams made the playoffs for a chance to compete for the league championship, while the bottom four teams entered into a consolation bracket.

The first game of the night was the 5th seed, Basket Brawlers, vs. the 8th seed, Code 3 Ballers. The Basket Brawlers barely missed the playoffs, losing three close games by a total of 10 points during the regular season. They started the game off with a big lead and never looked back....
