The definition of a criterium, or crit, is a bike race held on a short course (usually less than 1 mile), often run on closed-off city center streets. Here’s an exceptional chance for runners to take to the streets crit style and enjoy plenty of goodies! The Inaugural Lodi Cyclefest 5K Run, will be held on Sunday, July 12, (taking place a few hours prior to the Fifth Annual Cyclefest criterium bike race), in downtown Lodi.

Justin Mendoza is 23 years old. Born and raised in Jackson, he attended Argonaut high school and received his AA at Columbia College, in Sonora. Growing up, Justin played competitive basketball, raced competitive motocross and finally found his passion in triathlon. School was definitely not his passion. Playoffs started last Sunday in the Amador County Recreation Agency Men’s Basketball League. The top four teams made the playoffs for a chance to compete for the league championship, while the bottom four teams entered into a consolation bracket.

The first game of the night was the 5th seed, Basket Brawlers, vs. the 8th seed, Code 3 Ballers. The Basket Brawlers barely missed the playoffs, losing three close games by a total of 10 points during the regular season. They started the game off with a big lead and never looked back....
