Patrick Lindecker, a resident of Jackson, has earned placement on the Gonzaga University President’s List for Spring Semester 2014. Students must earn a 3.7 to 4.0 grade-point average to be listed. Gonzaga University is a humanistic, private Catholic University providing a Jesuit education to more than 7,500 students. Situated along the Spokane River near downtown Spokane, Wash., Gonzaga is routinely recognized among the West’s best comprehensive regional universities. Gonzaga offers 75 fields of study, 25 master’s degrees, a doctorate in leadership studies and a Juris Doctor degree through its School of Law.


Drake Craig Barnett was born May 17, 2014, at 9:27 p.m., at Sutter Amador Hospital, in Jackson, to Brian and Heather Barnett, of Angels Camp. He weighed 8 pounds, and measured 19.5 inches in length. Baby Drake is welcomed by sister Devon. Grandparents are Craig and Deborah Lovett and Bob and Susan Barnett.


Violet Faith Smetyukh was born May 13, 2014, at 10 p.m., at Sutter Amador Hospital, in Jackson, to Andrey and Morgan Smetyukh, of Ione. She weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces, and measured 19 inches in length. Baby Violet is welcomed by sister Grace. Grandparents are Anatoliy and Lesya Smetyukh, Chuck and Cindy Seaman, and Cheryl Hays. Great-grandparents are Clyde and Joye Hays, and Wallace Seaman.
