AmadorArts will host another one of its fun quarterly open-to-the-public social get-togethers on Thursday, Aug. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. The mixers rotate to different places each time, with the next Arts Networking event being at the Volcano Amphitheatre, in Volcano, home of outdoor play productions by the Volcano Theatre Company. For this month’s mixer, the stage will have members of the theater company giving short snippets of its current play “Robin Hood,” an hysterical and action-packed comedy  filled with a crazy mix of scheming citizens and visitors in Sherwood Forest.

Complimentary hors d’oeuvres will be catered by the Volcano Union Inn, as usual, and a no-host wine bar will be featured so that locals, whether they are artists, residents or business people, may have an opportunity for socializing. There’s always a raffle, usually for artwork. The event is free for AmadorArts members, or $5 for all others.

There are several routes to reach the Volcano Amphitheatre, but a basic one is to take Highway 88 East, turn onto Pine Grove-Volcano Road and follow it into Volcano. The amphitheater is on the left. Parking is on the small streets.
