The California Department of Transportation has issued three traffic advisories for work to be performed on area roadways this week.

In Amador County, one-way traffic controls will be in effect beginning today, Aug. 11, on Highway 88 from Plasse Road to West Martin Meadow for utility work. Work hours are between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. and the work is expected to continue through Friday, Aug. 15. Motorists should expect 15 minute delays.

One-way traffic controls will also be in effect today through Friday on Highway 26 from Paloma Road in Calaveras County to Highway 88 in Amador County in order for crews to stripe — paint — the newly-paved surface. Motorists should expect 20 minute delays or seek alternate routes to avoid the delay.

Scheduled to begin tomorrow, Tuesday, Aug. 12, Caltrans will close Highway 104 — also known as Twin Cities Road — from Clay Station Road to Ione Road for railroad work. Motorists should expect 30 minute delays and a detour will be in place.

Westbound drivers should turn right onto Ione road, left onto Highway 16/Jackson road, left onto Dillard Road, left onto Clay Station Road, right onto Highway 104/Twin Cities Road.

Eastbound drivers can turn left onto Clay Station Road, right onto Dillard Road, right onto Highway 16/Jackson Road, right onto Ione Road, left onto Highway 104/Twin Cities road.
