Carson Valley Inn offers free entertainment nightly

The Carson Valley Inn features free live entertainment in the Cabaret Lounge on Sunday through Wednesday from 6:00 to 10 p.m., Thursday from 7:00 to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 8:00 p.m. to 1 a.m. As a courtesy to the Inn's many sports fans, live entertainment is delayed as appropriate for certain major sports events so they may be viewed to their conclusion on the HD pull-down screen.
 
Phil Prunier, June 30 – July 2: A guitarist and vocalist – with some tunes using the mandolin or harmonica – Phil Prunier entertains with hits from artists such as Creedence Clearwater Revival, Brooks & Dunn, James Taylor, Willie Nelson and more.
 
The Blues Monsters, July 3 – 5:  The Blues Monsters are a red-hot rockin' blues band performing a powerfully unique combination of R&B, funk, jazz, and Chicago-style blues – this one is a "don't miss." Whether paying respects to the masters of traditional blues, or rockin' out other tunes, The Blues Monsters get the whole house up and dancing!
 
Jonathan "JB" Barton, July 6 – 9: In his four decades as an entertainer Jonathan has shared the stage with a few legends including Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley. His love for a variety of musical styles is apparent in his selection of favorites from Van Morrison, CCR, Hank Williams, Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney, Eagles and many more. Come out and sing along!
 
B. J. Thomas, July 10, TJ.s Corral: B. J. Thomas is a five time Grammy and two time Dove Award winner who has sold more than 70 million records and is ranked in Billboard’s Top 50 most played artists over the past 50 years. Among Thomas' many hits are "(Hey Won’t You Play) Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song," "I Just Can’t Help Believing," "Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head," "I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry," "Hooked on a Feeling," "Eyes of a New York Woman" "Whatever Happened To Old Fashioned Love" "Everybody’s Out of Town" and "Rock and Roll Lullaby." Midnight Express, July 10 – 12: Midnight Express is a 4-piece band with three strong lead vocals. The group entertains with classic rock, country rock and blues – everything from ballads to dance music.
 
Steve Lord, July 13 – 16: Playing guitar and offering dynamic vocals, Steve is a main stage performer on the West Coast. Known as the man of a thousand songs, Steve presents an evening of oldies, country, pop, blues, jazz, soul and rock 'n' roll.
 
Decades, July 17 – 18:  Decades presents a vibrant and diverse act from Chuck Berry's "Johnny B. Goode" to Katy Perry’s "California Girls."  Decades' 4 part harmonies and energized rhythm section truly shine when playing hits from the 1950's to today.  The group includes Samantha Francis (vocals, keyboards, guitar), Ben Ruttenberg (keyboards, guitar, vocals), Billy DiBono (drums, vocals), Will Watje (guitar, sax, vocals), and Tobias Brooks (bass, guitar, vocals).
 
Petty Theft – A Tribute to Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, July 19: Michael Furlong's Petty Theft Show has been appearing in casinos throughout the country as well as fairs and festivals nationally since 1990. Tom Petty himself made mention of Michael’s show in a 1996 Rolling Stone Magazine interview, on the internationally syndicated radio show "Rock Line" and on "MTV's Top 20 Countdown." Petty Theft performed in 2008 at Disneyworld Florida’s Epcot Center with Tom Petty’s written permission and blessings.
 
George Pickard, July 20 – 23:  George is an accomplished performer, believable impressionist, captivating entertainer and successful song writer. He co-wrote "What Did You Do with Your Old Forty Fives" for Bobby Vinton and backed up many acts from the fifties and sixties including The Shirelles, The Diamonds and The Platters. He was also one of the Kingsmen (Louie, Louie) for a while. George has played the Fillmore in San Francisco with acts such as Santana, Big Brother and the Holding Company and Jefferson Airplane.
 
Just Us, July 24 – 26: Just Us is a unique group of musicians who decided to blend together the sounds of the Motor City and Oakland, CA to develop "Sweet, Grown & Sexy" sounds - music from the 60’s to the present.  Aladdin handles lead vocal and percussions. He is joined by Les Carter on vocals and drums, Phil Weaver on vocals and guitar and Fred Williams on bass.
 
Michael Furlong, July 27 – 30: As a solo artist Michael has performed on Dick Clark's "American Bandstand," Showtime, VH-1 and various other music video shows internationally. His playlist is widely classic rock in nature performing a hits-only list of songs most with artists such as Rod Stewart, Bryan Adams, Tom Petty, Cheap Trick, CCR, Eddie Money, The Cars, Bad Company and the like.
 
Jo Mama, July 31 – August 2:  Jo Mama conveys the same high energy whether they are playing funk, Latin, blues, swing, rock, country or calypso.  Jo Mama features Paul Covarelli on guitar and vocals, drummer Jeff Bond lays down the back beat and Nancy Barker rounds it out on keyboards and vocals.
 
The Carson Valley Inn (www.carsonvalleyinn.com) is located on US Hwy 395 in Minden, NV near the start of State Hwy 88, twenty minutes from Lake Tahoe's south shore and 45 minutes south of Reno.  The property includes a casino, sports and race book, 149-room hotel, 74-room motor lodge, 59-site RV Park and a convenience store with Shell gas and diesel fuel.  There are also banquet and meeting rooms and services plus three dining facilities; CV Steak, the Inn's Nevada-style steakhouse featuring steaks, seafood, pasta dishes and more; Katie's, for 24- hour dining choices and Job's Perk for coffee drinks, pastries and sundries.
