Murder Mysterdy Dinner at Preston Castle on August 1 and 2

July 11

It’s All Good: AmadorArts presents the TGIF Summer Concert Series, featuring It’s All Good, playing good old rock ‘n roll, at Detert Park, in Jackson, on July 11, from 6 p.m. until dusk. Concerts are free. Pack a picnic dinner, lawn chairs and a light sweater, and plan to socialize, relax to the music and maybe even get up and dance. Cheeseburgers, Zin ‘n’ Rock ‘n’ Roll: On Saturday, July 12, Amador Cellars will be grilling up cheeseburgers to perfectly pair with its full-bodied Zins. Dance in the barn to your favorite tunes, played by The New Originals. Food will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and the tasting room will be open regular hours, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Reservations required. Meet The Artist: Laurie Williams would love to meet and talk with people about her colorful animal paintings that are now on exhibit and for sale at AmadorArts Gallery, on Randolph Street, in Sutter Creek. “T-Shirt Mystery:” The Amador Children’s Theatre Workshop invites you to its second annual summer production, “T-Shirt Mystery.” The play begins with a mysterious gift of T-shirts, which leads three children into a strange world of literary fantasies. Performances are July 12 and 13, at 1 p.m., at The Hub, located above Hein & Co. Books, in Jackson. Admission is free.

July 17

Beer Pairing on the Terrace: Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort brings back the popular event, Beer Pairing on the Terrace, on Thursday, July 17. Come and enjoy an evening on the Garden Terrace at while sampling artisan food and craft beer from Firestone Walker Brewing Company. Tickets are $30 each, and include the beer pairing with food, live music and $10 Free Slot Play or Match Play. VIP and Elite tickets for $20 at the Casino Cashier’s Cage. Designated Driver tickets are also available for $20. Kory Gibbs & Thundering Blues Band: Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort welcomes Lightning Boy Kory Gibbs and his Thundering Blues Band to the Grand Oak Ballroom stage on Friday, July 18 at 7 p.m. The 14-year old guitar prodigy has performed all throughout Amador and Sacramento counties, and opened for legendary rock stars Kansas and Johnny Winter earlier this year. Come and support this local legend-to-be at his headlining show. Murder Mystery Dinner: Find out who done it at the Preston Castle Murder Mystery Dinner, on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 1 and 2, at 6 p.m., Enjoy a sit-down dinner, and be part of the action as events unfold around you. Observe, ask questions and use your super-sleuth skills to figure out who the killer is. Dress in themed fashion, to really get into the fun.
