Thank you Amador County!

Thank you to all of the golfers and sponsors who participated and helped make the Interfaith Food Bank’s inaugural golf tournament, “Swing to End Hunger,” a success. We could not do it without you.

I’m sure you’ve heard California is in the middle of a drought, and I’m sorry to say so is the Interfaith Food Bank. Traditionally, June through October is the time of year when our funds start to evaporate and the flow of monetary donations is reduced to a slow trickle. During the holidays, the flow of funds is strong and consistent. Unfortunately, hunger doesn’t end with the holidays. Swing to End Hunger, like our other fundraisers during this drought period, helps to keep our reservoir at a safe level. What is a safe level? A sustaining level that allows us to continue to purchase food, keep the lights on and provide much-needed services to our community.

You can help us survive our annual drought and be a “Friend of the Food Bank” by becoming a recurring monthly donor. As a “Friend of the Food Bank,” you will provide a consistent and steady flow of funds throughout the year. Please consider giving any dollar amount of your choosing monthly. I invite you to visit feedamador.org, email feedamador@gmail.com, or call 267-9006 to find out how you can become a “Friend of the Food Bank.”
