After retiring John and Pearl traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, and Alaska. John enjoyed gardening, bowling, golf, reading, and a simple but well-made bourbon and soda. He was the salt-of-the-earth, adored by his wife and daughter, and will be missed by family, friends, nieces and nephews for his integrity, beaming smile, sincere good humor, and willingness to always lend a helping hand.
