Louise Frances (Nettle) Bryant, age 95, of Jackson, Calif., passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014 of natural causes in Rancho Cordova. She was born at home on Water Street, in Jackson, on May 23, 1919. Her parents were James Waters and Edith (Clark) Nettle. She married Richard Bryant of Sutter Creek in Carson City, Nev., after she graduated from Jackson High School in 1937. They were married 53 years, until Richard died in 1991. They lived in Jackson most of their lives, except for a few short times spent in Vallejo, Bodie and Rancho Cordova. She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping and fishing, in later life volunteering at the Senior Center in Jackson five days a week to help with lunch. She also helped out with their newsletter and the See’s candy sale at Christmas.

She is survived by her daughter, Elaine DeFehr (Brent); son, Richard Bryant (Linda); brother, Jim Nettle (Mary), all of Jackson; grandchildren, Kathryn Brown (James), Susan Hatfield , Nancy Bryant; great-grandchildren, Shane Cochran (JoAnne), Megan Cochran, Trisha Cochran, Amy Medeiros (Alex), Mary Hatfield; and great-great-grandson, Christopher Medeiros.

Friends are invited to attend a funeral service Monday, August 4, 2014, at 10 a.m., at Daneri Mortuary Chapel, in Jackson. Interment will be in the Jackson City Cemetery, in Jackson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jackson Senior Center, 229 New York Ranch Rd., Jackson, CA 95642.
