Lucky 7 Speed Shop, in association with the Amador Community Foundation, hosted an inaugural Hot Rods & Golf tournament last week at Castle Oaks Golf Club, in Ione.

Classic cars were strewn about the course, as players battled to win best score, longest drive, closest-to-the-pin and numerous other prizes. Proceeds were dedicated to providing an Amador County student with a scholarship to an automotive trade school.

Beau Gillman’s team, “Flat Broke,” took home first prize with a score of 56, 15 under Castle Oaks’ par of 71.

Lucky 7 is at 80 Ridge Rd., in Sutter Creek.
