Nadene Galli aka "Bunky" of Pioneer, California, died Sunday, May 25, 2014, at Sutter Amador Hospital in Jackson. She was born Nadene Goodman in Tucson, Arizona, March 2, 1931, moved to the bay area at the age of 10. She married William Galli June 7, 1952 and lived in Oakland. She later became the executive assistant to the Oakland City Manager and Mayor. When she retired from the city of Oakland, she and Bill bought their home in Pioneer where she became treasurer of the Fortress Way Road Association. Nadene and Bill loved life. They shared interests in golfing, fishing, playing cards and traveling in their RV. Although Nadene and Bill never had living children, she had many friends whose children called her Aunt Nadene in addition to "real" nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. There was always a particular place in Nadene's heart for each of them. She had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh and party with family and friends. She was very generous to her favorite charities and rarely said a bad word about anyone. Nadene was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and attended Jackson Ward for the last 20 years.

Nadene is predeceased by her father, Grant Curtis Goodman, her step-father, Joseph Gaipa, her husband, William Galli, her older sister, Betty Jo Campbell of Rescue, her mother, Dona Voilet Gaipa, her brother, Grant Marland Goodman and her step-mother, Ruth Goodman. She is also predeceased by Sophie, a one-of-a-kind Australian Shepherd that helped her through the loss of her husband, Bill, to ALS. She is survived by her sister, Sidney Anne Franz who was staying with her at the time of her death. She is also survived by her step-sisters, Terry Francis and Sue Ann Powers, her half-brothers, Scott, Troy and Mark Goodman, half-sister, Lori McIntyre and many nieces, nephews, and cousins not the least of which is nephew, Danny Combs of Oxnard. Lastly, she is survived by the sons of lifelong friends, Lloyd and Eleanor Williams of Pioneer: Larry, Tommy, Dennis, and Billy.

Graveside service will be held at Amador Hills Cemetery in Pioneer where Nadene will be interred next to Bill. Bishop's counselor, Brother John Johnson, will officiate and dedicate the grave site. Condolences may be sent to the family at Nadene's home in Pioneer or online at
