Leroy Carlin, 77, of Pine Grove, Ca. passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016 in Sutter Health Hospital. He was born in San Jose, Ca. on August 23, 1939 to the late James and Martha (Merten) Carlin.

Leroy served our Country in the U.S. Navy and the Navy Reserves during the Korean War. He was a member of the Free Masons of California. He was a respected business man as he was a general contractor for 45 years in the community; he was well known and loved by many.

Eva Tanner Nielsen

Eva Pauline Tanner Nielsen passed away in her home in Plymouth on Monday Sept. 19 after a long illness. Eva was born in Treece, Kansas to Earl and Hattie Tanner. She married Walt Nielsen on Aug. 31, 1946 and they had two children, Janet and Debbie. Walt passed in 2004 and Janet in 2008.

Eva is survived by daughter Debbie(Jim) Cowan, grandchildren Jon(Anna) Popovich of Leavenworth, Wa., Jeremy Boxhorn and great-grandson Solace of Staples Mn, and Heather and Melissa Cowan.

Ramona M. Hammond passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016, at her home. She was born Sept. 25, 1929, in Fiddletown, Calif., growing up and graduating from Amador High School in Jackson, Calif. She enjoyed camping, watching wildlife and going for drives to the old Dent homestead. She loved her grandkids and, oh my, the greats too.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 1, at Blessed Hope Assembly of God, 1033 Burrell Ave., Lewiston. The Rev. Jim Blewett will officiate.
