A Valley Springs woman died in an accident in Calaveras County over the weekend. Calaveras County Coroner Kevin Raggio has identified the woman as 24-year-old Alicia Marie Duncan. She was the passenger in a pickup truck being driven by 36-year-old Richard Adams of Valley Springs at around 2 a.m. Saturday, October 25. According to the CHP, Adams was driving westbound on Highway 26 near Heinemann Drive in the Rancho Calaveras/La Contenta area when, for unknown reasons, Duncan came out of the vehicle while it was moving. Darryn Wesley Shore of Pioneer, Calif., passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the age of 50. He was born March 2, 1964 in Los Angeles, Calif., to Luther and Shirley Shore. Charles “Chuck” Elton Redden

Charles “Chuck” Elton Redden, age 87, of Jackson, Calif., passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014, in Jackson. Chuck was born in San Antonio, Texas, on April 18, 1927, a son of the late Lillian Lee (Lanmon) and Charlie Lee Redden. Chuck was a veteran of both the US Navy and the US Air Force, serving during WWII. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening. He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Cleo Redden. Geneva Dunn of Jackson, Calif., passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Sutter Amador Hospital in Jackson at the age of 94. She was born in Missouri on February 25, 1920 to the late Eli and Velma (Smith) Snider. Geneva grew up in St. Louis, Mo., and Kentucky. In 1936, at age 16, she married James Dunn in Illinois and the couple soon started their family. Robert “Bob” Snyder, 80 of Pine Grove, went home to be with the Lord on sunday October 12, 2014, after a 7-month battle with pancreatic cancer. He died in the comfort of his home surrounded by family.

Patience Hiatt

A farewell ceremony is planned for Patience Hiatt, who at 41 years of age passed away unexpectedly at her Gilroy home following a very brief illness. Born in Carmichael, California, she graduated from Amador High School, and attended Cabrillo College. Upon completion of the dental assisting courses offered at Cabrillo, Patience began a career in Santa Cruz, at Dr. Tim Znamirowski’s practice, where she remained for over 18 years.
