Sophia’s Well of Wisdom

Vision of Oneness, the Spring Weekend Workshop, begins on Saturday, May 31, with, “Wisdom of Meditation,” led by Rev. Patsy. On Sunday, June 1, “Living Nonduality,” will be led by Eugene Alliende. The Healing Word

Thursdays and Fridays, from 1 to 3 p.m., pick up a variety of food and clothing. Sunday Service is at 10:30 a.m. Is the Bible relevant to life today? Yes. Generation Life Church

You are invited to worship with us this Sunday morning, at 10:30 a.m., starting with a time of contemporary music with the Praise Team, followed by Pastor Mike Todd bringing a life-changing message based on the Word of God. Children worship in the “Kids Zone,” with Christ-based activities. Invite a friend to come with you, as you will find friends waiting to meet you. We are located at 125 Academy Drive, in Sutter Creek, north of Lower Ridge Road.


Ione United Methodist Church

Pastor Tim will continue the series on “The Church,” at our Sunday 9 a.m. worship. There will be a pancake breakfast in the Social Hall immediately following worship. The Monday night Discovery series, “Connections,” will finish the last in the series of “Dead Men’s Bones,” on June 2, and will begin a new series on “The Prodigal God,” on June 9. We meet at  5 p.m., for a brown bag dinner, and start the video/discussion program at 6 p.m. Tuesday night Bible Study is held at 6 p.m.  The last L.E.A.P. session for the school year will be on Wednesday, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. The next senior food distribution will be on Thursday, June 3,  from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Senior meals are served every Thursday, at 11:30 a.m. All members of the community are invited to attend these activities. Sutter Creek United Methodist Church

Story of the Church will be the sermon topic on Sunday, June 1, with Scripture from Acts 10:1-48. The service begins at 11 a.m., with coffee and fellowship in the Social Hall afterward. Sutter Creek United Methodist Church is located at 14 Main Street, and the church office is open Tuesday through Thursday, 1 to 4 p.m. Call 267-0226, for more information.


Jackson United Methodist Church

Jackson and Sutter Creek United Churches will gather in Jackson, Sunday, June 1 for services that will include Communion.  Jackson members are reminded to bring their peanut butter and coupons that will later be turned over to the Interfaith Food Bank. The church is located at 120 Church St. between the old courthouse and Jackson Elementary School.  Wednesday Bible Study meets at 3:33 p.m.  Saturday, “Break Bread with Friends” is 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Celebration Hall.  The free program is open to anyone who is hungry.  For more information about the church and its programs, call 223-1884.

Church of the Nazarene

Free Kids’ Summer Day Camp:  Start the summer out right by coming to the Free Kids’ Summer Day Camp — A Wilderness Escape — June 16 to 20, from 9 to 11:30 a.m., and Family Night, on Wednesday, June 18, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Sutter Creek Church of the Nazarene, 14050 Ridge Road. The camp is for children entering K-6th grades. Bible teaching, games, food, crafts, music and free camp tee-shirts.
