Ione Community United  Methodist Church

Pastor Tim Gravatt will be providing the message at our 9 a.m. service, followed by coffee and fellowship in the Social Hall.  The next EFAP food distribution will be on Saturday, July 19, from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. On Monday night at 6 p.m. the Discovery Group will address the final chapter in The Prodigal God series. Adult Bible study meets every Tuesday at 6 p.m.  Senior meals are served at 11:30 a.m. on Thursdays. The next Coffee With Friends will be on Saturday, July 26, from 9:30 - 11:30 in the Social Hall.  All members of the Ione Community are invited to join us for pastries and conversation. Pastor’s office hours are Mondays from 9 a.m. until noon. The Church is located at 150 W. Marlette, telephone 274-2852.


Trinty Episcopal Church

Hunger doesn’t take a summer vacation.  Food needs actually increase during this time and donations drop off.  Our compassion challenge this week is to make your random act of kindness a donation to the Interfaith Food Bank.  Whoever you are, wherever you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome here.  Sunday services are at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m., followed by a coffee hour at 11:30 a.m. Trinity Church is located at 430 Highway 49, Sutter Hill, across from Walgreens. Generation Life Church Assembly of God

You are invited to worship with us as we celebrate Christ at Generation Life Church this Sunday at 10:30 a.m. We will start with music for all generations with the Praise Team, followed by Pastor Steve Rhoades who will bring a life changing and life applicable message based on the Word of God.  Children will also worship in the “Kids Zone” with Christ-based activities. Invite a friend to come with you, as you will find friends waiting to meet you. We are located at 125 Academy Drive, Sutter Creek., North of Lower Ridge Road and between Independence High School and The Arc.


Jackson United Methodist Church

Want to sleep late and still make it to church?  Come to Jackson United Methodist Church Sunday, July 20.  Pastors Tim Gravatt or Tom Widlund will preside.  Services start at 11 a.m. and the church is at 120 Church St. between the old courthouse and Jackson Elementary School.  Saturday the Methodist Mens Group meets at 8 a.m. at the Waffle Shop for breakfast and fellowship.  The group is open to new members. “Break Bread with Friends” is also Saturdays in the church’s Celebration Hall 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The free program is open to anyone who is hungry.  For more information call 223-1884.


Sutter Creek United Methodist Church

“Road Trip” will be the sermon topic on Sunday, July 20. Pastor Tim Gravatt or Pastor Tom Widlund will preside with Scripture from Acts 15:35-41. The service will begin at 11 a.m. with coffee and fellowship in the social hall afterward. Sutter Creek United Methodist Church is located at 14 Main Street and the church office is open Tuesday through Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. The Pastors’ office hours are Tuesday from 1 to 4 p.m. Call 267-0226 for more information.


Silver Lake Chapel

Silver Lake Chapel offers church services all Summer long. This Sunday, July 20, Rev. David Skaggs, Chaplain at Mule Creek State Prison, in Ione, leads Protestant services at 10 a.m., and Catholic Mass at noon. The chapel is located at Plasse’s Resort, on Highway 88.
