Coldwell Banker Award Realtors will host a golf tournament to benefit the nonprofit Amador Support, Transportation and Resource Services and Sutter Amador Hospital.

Coldwell Banker hosts the annual; Five EZ Pieces Golf Tournament, scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31 at Castle Oaks Golf Course. Check-in and registration are 11:30 a .m. to 12:30 p.m. A shotgun start is at 1 p.m. and dinner is to follow the round completion at approximately 6:30 p.m.

The participation fee of $100 per player includes an 18-hole round of golf in the tournament, a cart, tee prizes, refreshments and dinner following tournament play. Additional dinners are available at $15 per person but a reservation is required.

Mulligans can be purchased before tee off and refreshments will be available before, during and after golf for an additional donation.

Five EZ Pieces rules of golf

1. Each player may only carry five clubs in addition to your putter in your bag (the choice is yours).

2. No sharing of clubs is permitted. (You cannot use a teammate's club at any time).

3. Each team must use at least one drive per player, at least one fairway or approach shot per player and at least one putt per player over the 18 holes. Please mark your scorecard with a D for drive, F or A for fairway or approach and P for putt by the players' name when you use their shot.

4. This is a "no handicap scramble" event. All team members will hit their shots from the tee box and then will proceed to the best shot of the team, where they will all hit their next shot from that location and so on, until putting the final shot in the hole.

5. You may improve your lie by one club length as long as it is no closer to the hole. You cannot improve your lie by moving from the rough to the fairway or from the fringe to the green.

6. All players are required to have fun.

7. This event benefits the local cancer-support organization, Amador STARS and Sutter Amador Hospital. This includes the proceeds from raffle sales, Mulligan sales and the silent auction.
