Tony 'The Tiger' Lopez at Clark's Corner Nov. 21

Three-time world boxing champion Tony "The Tiger" Lopez will be speaking at Clark's Corner at 12 W. Main St. in Ione at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 21. Admission for the event is $20, including a $7 food voucher. A one-hour reception, from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m., will precede the speech. Argonaut Jr. Mustangs in Gridiron Tournament

A combined team from three levels of Junior Mustang football will play in the Gridiron tournament at least twice this weekend in Roseville. Exact time and location of the first game on Saturday were not available at press time. Extreme Obstacle Challenge in Ione Nov. 21-22

NorCal Extreme Cowboys and Cowgirls of Valley Springs is hosting an Extreme Obstacle Challenge at Howard Park's indoor arena in Ione, Nov. 21 and 22, beginning at 8 a.m. Membership in the ExCA is required for participation. Amador High School alumni basketball Nov. 24

All former players on Amador Buffalo basketball teams are invited to play in the annual alumni basketball games in the Amador High School gymnasium on Nov. 24. Amador Cross Country Turkey Trot Nov. 26

The Amador High School Cross Country team is hosting its Seventh Annual Turkey Trot Fun Run/Walk on Thanksgiving Day at 8 a.m. at Lake Tabeaud, with all proceeds going to the Interfaith Food Bank. The run out and back is 7.1 miles and the walk is 2.8 miles around the lake. There is no entry fee, T-shirt or registration. Suggested donation is $5 cash or a bag of non-perishable groceries. Raley's has committed to doubling all money donated. Prizes will be awarded for random or nonsensical reasons.



N.Y. Fitness ballet class

Veteran instructor Deborah Kaufman will teach beginning ballet in the New York Fitness studio at 615 New York Ranch Rd., Jackson, Monday evenings from 6 to 7 p.m. No prior experience in ballet is necessary for this basic ballet class.
